Sensei Frost Elevated to Hachidan
On November 6th, 2006 Brian Frost United States
Director/Chief Technical Instructor of Koei-Kan Karate-Do was
elevated to the Rank of Hachidan (8th degree Black Belt) by
Koei-Kan Shiso (Founder) Onishi Eizo during his 10 day U.S.
seminar tour. Since founding Koei-Kan in 1952 Onishi
Kancho Sensei has issued the Hachidan (the system's highest
level) to only 4 other people. Frost Sensei is the 2nd
person to be awarded this grade outside of Japan. The
other being Koei-Kan Pioneer Edward Kaloudis.

Karate Master Visits United States
The United States Headquarters of the Japanese Koei-Kan System of
Karate located in Hazel Park, Michigan hosted a U.S. Tour by its founder, world renowned Master Eizo Onishi of Tokyo, Japan.
Master Onishi conducted classes in Washington, Michigan and New Jersey from November 3rd through 11th which included instruction in the various historical, philosophical, and physical aspects of the art. Classes were attended by members of authorized Branches in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida, Montana, Arizona, California and Washington.
Master Onishi oversees an organization with branches in Japan, Greece,
Italy, Spain, Venezuela, and the United States.
